Rumi, Hafiz, Elvis & Carl Jung!
Started working on a new play, and wanted to have it debut here, via a first draft flyer (the below) I will get printed up. And for any local productions, I will be trying to cowboy-up myself enough to do it. I can see it having a great range. Often fun and audience-interactive in very surprising ways. And some great music. Hell, I might even make my first entry on a skateboard.
Gosh, the last time I acted in a play was some nearly 50 years ago in India. And in my next blog entry, I will share the opening lines in Act One, that I like a lot. And paint some backdrop…scenes.
The below mentions: "the puzzle…!" I like the way the moon fits into the sky, and the sun and the stars. And us, when in love! When giving! When knowing!
Rumi, Hafiz, Elvis & Carl Jung!
Helping the Jailhouse Rock!
This is a one man play that will share with the world some of the soul of these four great artists! In impromptu ways at times. And at times will be autobiographical.
But others get some stage time too! Like Buddha, and the moon, and a magic bird on a limb reciting haiku — helping us to sing and write about our own loves. And Yoda offering secrets so we can defy gravity enough to sit midair on a butterfly wing and start high-fiving everything! Yep, everything, the best we can!
Art to me, as one can read in an article the BBC invited me to write about Hafiz & Art, dated January 9, 2017, and easily found via Googling—Ladinsky BBC … is about!! Art to me is about: the great utility in it to — engage and give— help!
Sitting on the couch with the sky, sitting on the couch with a mountain like Carl Jung and Rumi & Hafiz; and Elvis pitching in! How could that not help you smile & dance more in this jailhouse of temporary separation from knowing & sharing your greatness; from knowing you are a sun! So full of radiance, the beautiful sacred life — the heart; when the puzzle is solved!
The moon asked about her luminosity
said, "I figured things out!”
And this play is full of clues! And gold from the pockets of the earth and stars.
And we will post here upcoming venues. And plan to give any personal income from this play to a great animal shelter here in Taos, New Mexico. How much crazy money do I need, when sometimes living in my car, I know I am in heaven.
