Maybe The Best Lay In Town Is A Poem

You can read all about that here, via this article I was invited to write for the Huffington Post some years ago.

This article recently came up in some correspondence, and I was reminded I felt it really offered something when my sophisticated correspondent said: “This helped me get Buddha onto the dance floor, and I think boosted my spiritual IQ a notch.”

Well, I am all for dancing and high-fiving AE whenever we can. That is: Albert Einstein. And those first four lines of verse in the article are a short Rumi poem from my Penguin anthology, Love Poems from God.

And indeed, Ahhhhh page 217 in that book, that this article mentions, where Kabir wonderfully & wildly offers advice so no one turns you into a frog. Let Rumi & Hafiz kiss the Sleeping Beauty in you— the sleeping God— more and more awake.
