Buddha In The Frying Pan
Buddha In Drag In The Frying Pan
Zen Haiku & Thoughts
I like a lot this title to a new book (and series) I now have next on my list to get out hopefully this year. I feel I could offer a lot in it, a great range. I had started to move along some five or six books in the last year or so, but then another title would come along that could elbow out the other ones, like this title did.
I hope this title is not offensive to anyone; I really have the greatest respect for Buddha, and feel my living teacher in India was more of a Buddha than anyone I had ever met. He seemed a true Zen master to me.
I blog to an international Meher Baba web-chat site most every day, offering a whole range of things. And just yesterday I started to talk about this phrase: Buddha in drag in the frying pan. There is really something very esoteric and true about that, which is really (to my mind) so relevant, being:
If there really is a super double-duper Cosmic Cowgirl & Cowboy all rolled into a transgender Divine Being of Light, some might call that God!! And I think— and have even seen—there is! Then my guess is that God is really sooo super double-triple duper ONE with everything that to God's eyes and knowing— ALL IS REALLY JUST IT. Aka: all is really just God toooo!
Thus, we are all really just Buddha in drag (incognito) in the frying pan— cooking, simmering (suffering in the hundreds of ways we can) until we know who we are really are— the super double-duper etc.
And who couldn't use some Zen haiku and thoughts to help them jump out of the frying pan and unfurl their wings so wide they caress all of existence? And we even become all of existence, and realize— existence is just a saddle we sit on and trail ride ourself for eternity; but never get bored. And the party just keeps getting more and more cranked up! And we are glad we are there — being everything and beyond Everything!
I wrote a pretty good Introduction for this book yesterday, under a different title I had for it, but have now changed. I was also going to use that Intro as my next blog, but now want to rework it, and polish it for a week. Originally was going to call this book:
The Zen Of Being Alive
Haiku & Thoughts
But then decided to go with the reality of us being: Buddha in drag in the ... F. P. What to do? Though also get into: that once one can distill everything, boil and/or fry it all down to: there is only God left that we are ONE with, and thus on easy street without a worry in the world, like I bet the moon is!
I had a thought in that first Intro that went, now expanded some:
I like the way this puzzle is fitting together.
Looks like there will be only me as Buddha.
Aka: As the super double-triple duper Cosmic
Cowgirl and Cowboy all rolled into one wild,
wild soooo beautiful transgender Luminous
Being.
In short: there is great hope for us. And while waiting to cash in our Lottery Ticket, we should do as Hafiz advises us, and as my own living teacher in India so endorsed Hafiz’s words, being:
Have fun my dear, my dear, have fun, in the
Beloved’s divine game. O in God's, O God’s
so astounding miraculous game.
Also, here is a link to a Hafiz poem I never knew was here, or can remember. It really says a lot, I feel, in the very playful way Hafiz can. It speaks about this gender stuff; and gender stuff can really be something of a trap, and something I feel we will evolve out of and realize as the poem says: Hey, I am just a heart. I am just crazy in love.
Zen Haiku & Crazy In Love. Could be another book there, and this one— about the unfolding of Buddha in you— will offer you a sweet dance!
The Unfolding Of Buddha In You. Gosh, the great titles just won't stop. And I think every Hafiz and Rumi poem, and every poem I have ever written— is all about that. Their deepest wish. And to help! To help!
The Unfoldment Of God! Hey, that is really us, and all the turtles and frogs, and songs & friends, & children & stars. My gosh, OMG, why are we not boogying more!
