Caress The Cheek Of God

I wanted to offer a blog entry, that appeared as a special edition in The Culturium, a very fine esoteric magazine based in Europe. It first appeared over two years ago, but feel it is so relative also now.

And I wanted to draw your attention to — two other links within it. One being a (to me) wonderfully sophisticated poem by Thich Nhat Hanh, titled: Please Call Me By My True Names!

And also point out, what I feel is a very special Hafiz poem-rendering of mine, that can also be seen on page 71 & 72 in The Gift. That poem is titled: Don't Die Again! And offers a simple spiritual practice of great utility, for anyone of any faith!

All of our ideas of God in a way are like having a holy child we raise — raise with our love, and care, and a continually greater understanding. A greater awareness, a greater Knowledge that then gives us more and more freedom, and brings us closer to God!

There is nothing freer than God. And there is nothing that wants us to become more intimate with it — than the Sacred, than the Holy! For that is our essence and greatest Truth! As you would the body of your beloved. The wing, the heart, begins to caress the cheek of God! The wing full of love begins to become the Sun, from knowing the most precious regions of the Sky! From knowing your most beautiful Self! The divine wedding takes place.
