The Meher Baba & Zen Community of New Mexico
I wanted to toss this out into the world and see if any who might really aid it wanted to check it out. And maybe become a home when needed. We might even offer land for sale, at some point, for a great deal-price! For there are a couple thousand acres we have. This could become a famous unique Community.
All below just a good Introduction (brief outline) good enough I hope for now. Please get in touch if ya want!
The Meher Baba & Zen Community of New Mexico
What is the Meher Baba & Zen Community of New Mexico. It is a place that wants to safeguard & empower artists, and caregivers, so they might bestow more to the world. And be able to care more for their own self and other creatures, for the environment. Aka: love! And the freedom in it we need!
It is a place where once a week, those staying there, or connected to the Center, would be able to sit around a shared campfire chat for an hour or two, and be encouraged to read a poem or some writings from any spiritual tradition, that they had thought about a bit that week, tried to put into practice and found helpful.
The moon asked about her luminosity
said, "My practice panned out!"
We live in a world of such physics, and then natural results. That is also so true of our emotional & psychological lives. Unveiling the Sun. Unveiling the Sun, that could be a good book title. They pop in like that in mid-sentence rather often. I bug my agent with them all the time.
But, unveiling the Sun — of your soul more! Living from our essence, from the vital knowing there. No one is not really trying to do that all day long the best they can; no matter what they do! And an intelligent Community of friends can help!
We are all on the Potter's Wheel; and our talents can so help shape us into what we really want! Art shapes this world does it not, and can refine our sounds, movements & touch. Help us break-dance in the Sky!
And there would be no charge for staying there, if one was accepted, and could contribute a couple hours now and then! Like to a big fruit orchard I plan to put in, and a small vineyard. And bee hives. O want those angels flying around. And honey jars to give away at Christmas!
And sure day visits would be welcome, with no pitching in needed. You could just cruise!
In the physical realm, it is a 640 acre old homestead ranch, surrounded on four sides by what is called Carson National Forest land. Its elevation is about 7,000 feet, and is about 30 miles from Taos, New Mexico. The ranch has a beautiful view of the mountains, where the sun and moon rise. The terrain of the ranch is mostly mature rolling Pinon groves, and there are two arroyos on the ranch that connect to major canyons (you might say) on state property that offer wonderful hiking adventures that can go for miles. And in the winter there can be great cross-country skiing; and for months miles of great mountain biking trails on the ranch and state land. And there are some five major ski areas within an hour or so drive. And Santa Fe is about 60 miles south of the ranch. And Ojo Caliente, a world famous hot springs and spa and resort is only 12 miles away. And about two miles away is a nice country store & cafe! And even post office!
But the primary reason for the ranch and hope for any who visit or stay there is: That it might help them with an interest, to more, as Meher Baba says, and a goal of Zen is...
"To penetrate into the essence of all being & significance and to release the fragrance of that inner attainment for the guidance and benefit of others ..."
To know your self more, and your illumined connection to all things, you then want to nourish as the rain does this earth. "The rain," the love, the art that comes from an awake heart!

As Hafiz says: "We all sit in God's classroom…" Now, we just have to toss out of a mind's window everything on the chalkboard, on the TV or computer screen, that doesn't help us —rock-n-roll, and give more to ourself and others!
All this could go biggish and be very lasting, for all the bucks are there, and good wishes. And angel dust, I think heaven sprinkled!
And would like to connect at some point brother & sister properties to this Community. Those would be three large tracts of mostly pristine wilderness and some great farm land, all also in the mountains. And that hold — already right there — valuable natural food sources, and other valuable natural resources.
Ahhh: The Meher Baba & Zen Community of New Mexico, to help the Jailhouse Rock! To help unfurl your wings to caress the cheek of God!
Well enough for now. So many details to add in, as all this unfolds more! And hope any who become a part of this can contribute ideas.

So More on This
Here is the homework for any who might want to visit the ranch for a couple hours, and or maybe camp there for a night or two, and hike all around as much as they want. Here is the homework:
*** You buy a copy of the book: Haiku Mind, by Patricia Donegan; Amazon has a good page on the book! We request this as any who come to ever stay at the ranch or any of those other three farms-ranches — we would want ya to write a haiku a day, we might then use in a series of haiku books, we have been fiddling with for a couple years. I have written about 5,000 freestyle haiku and maybe a couple of yours could dance with them; and we would fully cover you with any and all copyrights and license stuff, and prorated proceeds. Also, you would have to be able to cough up 3 haiku in a letter to us, I will mention in a bit.
*** I would want ya to have my book: The Purity of Desire, 100 Poems of Rumi. And send me a poem from there that you feel is helpful to you. And read the Introduction in that book, which is titled: The Wing Comes Alive In His Presence. As part of that Intro very much gets into the genesis of my writing life with Hafiz & Rumi, and other of the great poet saints. And that INTRO talks about someone who was a real teacher to me over a 20 year stretch in India, and I feel could of out Zenned even Yoda. And that would be a hell of a lot of Zen. Even more than the moon knows. And look at all she does.
Also in that Rumi book, on page xxv, is a two-line quote by Meher Baba that I feel anyone who got connect with the ranch would benefit from keeping in one of your mind's saddlebags. Aka: Be able to quote it, and live it the best ya could!
*** Then: Thich Nhat Hanh, I think one of the greatest Buddha envoys in the last couple centuries. There is a wonderfully significant poem of his titled: Please Call Me By My True Names, we would want any who got connected with the ranch to feel was a worthy goal in their life! A vital understanding! So one would need to pack that away somewhere.
Soooo, back to sooo! Now being… Sooo send me a letter about maybe getting a tour of the ranch for starters, and any needed homework you have done so far. Be sure and include an email address. And one could read more about me at this website.
Someone recently asked me to bottom line what this Community was all about; and its hope! And this came to mind, heart, wit & truth...
It is all about seeing Buddha's tail sticking out
of really everything and grabbing hold — and
cranking your party up.
What more could a munchkin want!
